Inglis to take up John Lewis role

Marketing 12-Feb-08

John Lewis has appointed former Virgin Trains sales and marketing director Craig Inglis as its head of brand communications.

Joining on 10 March, he will be responsible for the John Lewis brand,
including advertising and branch marketing, and will report to marketing
director Gill Barr.

Inglis stepped down from his role at Virgin Trains last November after

10 years, ahead of a reduction in its marketing activity following the

loss of the CrossCountry network to Aviva (Marketing, 3 October
2007).

Barr joined John Lewis as interim marketing director in January last
year, before being confirmed in the role in June. Her appointment
coincided with the role being represented at board-level for the first
time.
