BARCELONA - Bebo is ramping up its mobile strategy in an attempt to make it easier for its 40m users to view photos, post messages and upload content via their phones.

The social networking site has struck a deal with Intercasting Corp to allow its global youth audience to quickly and easily produce and share user-generated content (UGC) via their mobile handsets.

The agreement will see Bebo use Intercasting's Anthem mobile application to roll out a powerful user-interface that makes it easy for social networkers to send and receive messages, post comments, search their friends profiles and upload photos.

'Bebo users increasingly want to be able to connect on the go,' said Ziv Navoth, VP business development and marketing at Bebo. 'This partnership will benefit our members by giving them access to the site anytime, anywhere.'

Yesterday, Bebo announced that it has signed a deal with T-Mobile to provide its customers with a mobile version of its site. The social network struck a similar deal with Orange last year after rival MySpace teamed up with Vodafone.
