OMD UK wins HMV search business
Omnicom agency OMD UK has picked up the search engine optimisation account for music retailer HMV, after a four-way pitch.
The agency won the account after pitching against search specialists
iCrossing, Latitude and HMV's retained digital agency Code Computer
Love.
Activity will centre around promoting HMV.com as one of the first
ADVERTISEMENT
other entertainment goods.
OMD said the win was one of the first times that it has won a natural
search account in a pitch process against specialists.
The music and books retail group consolidated its media planning and
buying arrangements for its music store and subsidiary Waterstone's into
OMD in May 2007, having previously used PHD for the book retailer.
The win included the digital account for HMV and OMD started running the
retailer's paid search advertising in August.
