UK importance grows for Google
Google's UK revenues rose by 56% in 2007 to $2.48bn (£1.27bn), placing it ahead of the US in terms of revenue growth.
According to filings submitted to US regulators, Google US revenues rose
by 42%. Meanwhile, Google's worldwide revenues rose by $10.4bn to
$16.59bn in 2007, with the UK taking a 14% share of the total in

2005 and 15% in both 2006 and 2007.
Meanwhile, the US took a 61% share of worldwide revenues in 2005,
falling to 57% in 2006 and further still to 52% in 2007.
The share of revenues generated from beyond the US and UK across the
rest of the world increased from 25% in 2005 to 33% in 2007.
