LONDON - The Financial Times has been forced to reduce its declared circulation for its Europe edition for December and January.

The business publication alerted the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) to the discrepancy, which affected only the Europe edition of the business title.

The auditor said the FT’s revised average net circulation for December is 445,231 copies, a reduction of an average of 3,956 copies.

January’s average net circulation, meanwhile, has been lowered to 447,114, a fall of an average of 5,334 copies.

The auditor said it had no plans to further investigate the matter.
