LONDON - BBC Worldwide plans to roll out a 'Top Gear' event across 15 countries over the next 18 months, fronted by Jeremy Clarkson and involving live motoring performances and entertainment.

'Top Gear Live', which has been created in partnership with Ingenious' Brand Events, will start at London's Earls Court from October 30 to November 2, and will continue at Birmingham NEC from November 13 to 16.

The event will be part of the MPH '08 series, which began in 2003 and includes live motoring entertainment and performance car exhibitions.

'Top Gear Live''s creators said the show would offer 'Top Gear' fans the chance to see live motoring performance and entertainment involving Jeremy Clarkson and members of the show's production team.

Adam Waddell, managing director of 'Top Gear' at BBC Worldwide, said: "The 'Top Gear' programme has a huge global following, our magazine is published in 22 countries and we've recently announced the first two local productions of the TV show in the US and Australia.

"Taking the 'Top Gear Live' experience on tour is tremendously exciting and ties in perfectly with our plans to reach out to audiences around the globe."
