Camelot draws up shortlist for £20m Lotto account
LONDON - Camelot Group, the National Lottery operator, has shortlisted Fallon, McCann Erickson, Beattie McGuinness Bungay and incumbent Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to pitch for its £20m Lotto advertising business.
The review is being overseen by the AAR and the Camelot marketing department, headed by marketing director Martin Pugh. AMV has handled Camelot's advertising since 2003.
The Lotto business accounts for the majority of Camelot's adspend. The operator begins its third lottery licence next February and is planning increased investment to support the Lotto game in the coming months. Camelot invested £14m in Lotto advertising in 2007, but plans to increase this spend to £20m this year.
