PPA powers new recruitment site

A new jobs website serving the UK's magazine and business media sector will be launched this month.

Backed by magazine publishers' association, the PPA, the service will feature job vacancies across editorial, production, digital, sales and management. PPAJobs.co.uk is a joint venture between the PPA and Haymarket Media Group, publisher of Media Week.

The site will provide numerous services for job-seekers and recruiters, including jobs by e-mail, RSS feeds and CV storage. Employers will be offered the opportunity to utilise a Recruiter Zone, allowing them to update vacancies around the clock.

Haymarket already publishes popular jobs boards such as jobs.brandrepublic.com, revolutionjobs.co.uk and thirdsectorjobs.co.uk.

Loraine Davies, director of the Periodicals Training Council within the PPA, said the site sits well with the council's remit to promote careers.

Rufus Olins, managing director, Haymarket Brand Media, said the platform already covers 16 jobs markets and that teaming up with the PPA will help the company to deliver the appropriate media candidates for advertisers.

Although the website will be available to any organisation wishing to advertise vacancies, PPA members will be eligible for a discount on bookings.
