Southern Alps foods sponsors British Olympic athletes

LONDON - Southern Alps, the premium dried fruit and muesli company, is supporting a group of British athletes in its first sponsorship activity.

Flatwater canoeist Tim Brabants, a medallist at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, current World Champion and Beijing hopeful, has signed a deal with Southern Alps that will see his boat carry the company's branding in the run-up to the Olympics.

British canoeists Jon Schofield, Chris Sears, Ben Brown and Ben Farrell will also be sponsored by the company this year, as will triathlete Jennifer Hewitt.

Southern Alps products are available from retailers including Tesco and Whole Foods Market.
