4DS lands film site digital sales brief

4DS, Channel 4's in-house digital ad agency, has struck a deal to sell digital advertising for new film download service, FilmOn.

4DS will manage third-party online ads for www.filmon.com, such as onsite media and sponsorship.

FilmOn, which launched in January and claims to be the biggest online aggregator of independent film and television content, reported eight million unique users and more than 100 million page impressions in January.

The site is one of many ad-funded entertainment sites currently expanding into the UK. Intel-backed Coolroom offers users a virtual world in which to watch films online, priced from £3.
