McDonald's task goes to Avenue A

Marketing 08-Apr-08

McDonald's has appointed Avenue A/Razorfish to handle its £3m UK digital marketing business.

The fast-food restaurant chain has briefed the agency to develop a
wide-ranging digital strategy aimed at expanding its UK web presence.
The agency will also handle website development and online

advertising.

McDonald's selected the agency following a prolonged pitch against AKQA,
Dare and Tribal DDB that was overseen by Oystercatchers.

The chain currently works with AKQA on global digital projects. It
recently partnered the International Olympic Committee to launch The
Lost Ring, an online adventure game in which players across the world
join forces to investigate urban legends surrounding the Olympics.
