Haymarket passes Eye to editor-led venture
LONDON - Haymarket Media Group has released ownership of graphic design title Eye magazine to its editor, John Walters.
From today, Eye is managed through Eye Magazine Ltd, a new company established by Walters, Eye art director Simon Esterson plus Hannah Tyson, business director at Esterson Associates. Both Esterson and Tyson were involved in the launch of Eye magazine in 1990.

The new management team comprises Walters, who remains editor, Esterson, who remains art director and Hannah Tyson who is managing director.
“This is a great moment for Eye, its readers and the designers and design writers who contribute to the publication worldwide,” said Walters.
The spring issue, Eye no. 67 vol. 17, will be published this weekend.
