Telegraph appoints Martin as head of comment

LONDON - Telegraph Media Group has promoted Iain Martin to the new role of head of comment and community.

Martin, who is currently group executive editor of politics, will oversee all the comment pages and community areas of The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.

He will also oversee the readers' comment facilities, including Your View online and My Telegraph.

Martin has worked for the Telegraph for two years, during which time he has had a number of roles including assistant editor and deputy editor at The Sunday Telegraph.

Prior to joining the Telegraph, Martin was editor of The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday.
