Beam hired to 'excite' people about radio startup

by Clare O'Connor , PR Week UK 22-Apr-08, 10:18

Lifestyle tech agency Beam has been brought in to drive traffic to a web radio startup.

Agency MD Jane Leah and her team will handle consumer and trade media for Radiopaq, which launched in beta last month.

As well as encouraging visitors to the site, Beam has been tasked with 'getting people excited about internet radio', according to Leah.

Radiopaq founder Prash Vadgama recently announced that the site will be Mac compatible for the first time, with an increased number of radio stations available.

The portal includes thousands of radio channels, plus news podcasts from the BBC, CNN and Sky News. Its Snapshot service provides weather and traffic updates.
