Adnams debuts CO2-neutral ale
Adnams is rolling out what it claims is the first carbon-neutral beer in the UK.
The beer, called East Green, will launch in Tesco next week. It is
brewed in Adnams' eco-efficient brewery, which recycles 100% of the
steam created in the brewing process. The launch will be supported

initially by an outdoor campaign.
The brewer says that every stage in the production of East Green has
been designed to minimise CO2 emissions. The remaining CO2 has been
offset with Climate Care.
The development and manufacture of the product has been overseen by the
University of East Anglia's carbon-reduction team to ensure credibility
with green-savvy consumers.
