Marmite livery on London cabs

Marketing 31-Jan-02, 12:00

Liveried London cabs are to remind city-dwellers of the celebrated

Marmite strapline 'You either love it or hate it' in an outdoor campaign

to commemorate the brand's 100th birthday. Brand manager Oliver Bradley

said the iconic black cab was the perfect vehicle to advertise Marmite's

centenary, because the first engine-powered black cab first graced

London's streets 99 years ago. The 33 taxis will feature the slogan '100

years of hate' on one side and '100 years of love' on the other,

alongside pictures of the jar. The campaign, through Taxi Media, was

bought by Blade and planned by Concord, and overseen by Unilever

Bestfoods' media agency Initiative Media.
