NSPCC flags up ChildLine service

The NSPCC has joined forces with rock magazine Kerrang! for a campaign to encourage more children to use ChildLine.

The charity is seeking to reassure young people that they can contact ChildLine with any problem, big or small.

A competition that will feature in Kerrang!, called Waxing Lyrical, will encourage young people to write song lyrics about their most pressing concerns.

'Working with Kerrang! for the second time has enabled us to develop our relationship with the magazine's young readers,' said NSPCC director of comms John Grounds.

'Writing lyrics is one way to express feelings and emotions. We want youngsters to know that ChildLine is here if they want someone to talk to, whatever their worry.'
