easyJet hires Profile Plus for Scottish brief

Budget airline easyJet has hired Scottish agency Profile Plus to handle its consumer PR in Scotland.

Profile Plus was awarded the account following a three-way pitch.

The agency is charged with buildling media profiles, handling competitions and stunts, supporting launches, and developing sponsorship and partnership activity. It aims to drive awareness of the airline's flights in Scotland.

The 12-month contract was put out to pitch last month (PRWeek, 4 April).

The agency will report into UK regional PR manager Sarah Pritchett and UK commercial manager Carly Brear.

The airline has bases in Edinburgh and Glasgow airports and operates flights from Inverness and Aberdeen. Pritchett said: 'We have grown significantly in Scotland over the past two years. There will also be new routes flying in and out of Scotland over the next few months.'
