Acxiom appoints Donovan as global sales leader

LONDON - Data giant Acxiom has appointed Shawn Donovan to the newly created role of global sales leader.

Donovan will guide all aspects of Acxiom's sales initiatives, including plans, processes, and principles, to achieve its revenue growth goals.

He joins from Electronic Data Systems, where he worked for more than 20 years as a sales and account management leader in a variety of industries, including consulting solutions, digital services, and global accounts.

Donovan's last role at EDS was as vice-president of the banking and capital markets sector for the company.

He will report to John Meyer, who was appointed chief executive officer and president of Acxiom in January this year.

Meyer said: "Shawn's experience makes him the right person to help Acxiom launch its growth strategy that is focused on global opportunities, a strategic consulting practice, digital and multi-channel offerings, and multiple industries.

"He has shown tremendous success in building new business, and we are delighted to have him on the Acxiom team."
