The Week: M&C Saatchi scoops £75m DoH anti-obesity account
M&C Saatchi has triumphed in the race to secure the advertising account for the Department of Health's £75 million anti-obesity drive following a four-way pitch.
The agency beat Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, VCCP and Wieden & Kennedy in a
contest managed by COI.
The decision follows last week's news (Campaign, 16 May) that Manning
Gottlieb OMD has been appointed to handle communications planning on the

Communications. A result on the pitch for the direct marketing activity
between Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel, Partners Andrews Aldridge,
EHS Brann and Tullo Marshall Warren is expected later this week.
The DoH has set aside £75 million over the next three years to
back the initiative to tackle obesity. It will involve the creation of a
new social movement, similar to Make Poverty History, aimed at engaging
people to the cause.
