LONDON - Yahoo! Music Europe has relaunched its UK and Ireland music website with several changes, including a redesigned homepage and video player.

The new site features music blogs, personalised music video recommendations, an embedded music video player and playlisting tools that allow users to create and store music video playlists.

Yahoo! has also extended its existing partnerships with Universal Music and Warner Music. The internet firm has ongoing partnerships with EMI and SonyBMG.

As a part of the partnership agreements, some of the music video catalogue will be available through several off-network Yahoo!-branded video player applications such as Facebook, Bebo and French social networking site SkyRock.

Ventura Barba, general manager of Yahoo! Music Europe, said: "The site redevelopment and the brokering of great partnership deals is integral to our ongoing strategy of developing the best music content on the internet and ensuring Yahoo! Music Europe continues to be the essential starting point for music lovers.

"By offering exclusive content and industry-leading functionality, we are looking forward to attracting new users to the site and building on our existing unique base to ensure we continue to be the advertising partner of choice."
