Ryanair puts ads on lockers
LONDON - Ryanair's latest commercial wheeze is to create advertising sites on its aircrafts' cabin overhead luggage lockers. Fourth Edition, an Irish company specialising in niche, out-of-home ad opportunities, has developed the framing system, Aeropanel, that houses the ads.
Ambient Media, the ambient planning and buying specialist, will open a UK office for Fourth Edition. Its managing director Craig Ciurlonis said: "The Aeropanels are discreet, but unmissable, and we're convinced that many advertisers will take advantage of this unique opportunity to reach a large, upscale market."

If it equals cheaper flights, then it's not so bad. However, it probably won't be long till there are screens embedded in the seat in front showing ads for the duration of the flight
