Geronimo and EMS win higher education brief

The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) has handed out a £3 million contract to promote a roadshow encouraging young people to pursue higher education.

Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) and Geronimo Communications will run the three-year project.

The agencies were awarded the business following a five-way pitch to the Central Office of Information.

Geronimo and EMS haverun the programme every year since its launch in 2001, in which time it is believed to have reached more than 660,000 young people.


The roadshow is part of the Aimhigher higher education programme.

EMS and Geronimo will be responsible for organising 800 events each academic year, liaising with the DIUS and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), as well as schools, colleges and regional coordinators across the country.
