Experian appoints new director of CreditExpert

LONDON - Experian has appointed Peter Turner as director and general manager of CreditExpert, the online credit monitoring and identity fraud protection service.

Turner, who previously worked at Tiscali as business marketing director, will develop the CreditExpert service to attract customers and expand the range of products available.

Turner also worked at Freeserve for seven years, helping the company become one of the largest internet service providers. He oversaw the company's re-branding to Wanadoo and its transition to Orange Home.

The interactive division of Experian reported a 95% increase in UK revenues for the last financial year, which went from £16m in the financial year of 2006/2007 to £34.6m.

Other new appointment for Experian's interactive division includes David Williams as product marketing executive and Lorraine Finlay as customer marketing manager. Nathan Omare also joins as head of customer insight, having previously worked for Yahoo! Visa and Vodafone.
