LONDON - Top Up TV, the paid-for service available on Freeview, has signed a deal with Warner Bros to bring shows from the Hollywood studio to its video-on-demand offer.

A Warner TV channel is now available on the Top Up TV Anytime service, which the company is attempting to build up this year.

The deal brings programmes including The West Wing, Nip/Tuck, Two and a Half Men and Supernatural to the service, which costs £9.99 per month and features content from pay-TV channels including MTV, UKTV Gold, Paramount Comedy and Hallmark Channel.

Commercial director Jim Hytner said: "The Warner Bros deal is the first of a number of initiatives  this year to improve content. Warner is another addition to the VoD service, and a very powerful addition."

Top Up TV Anytime was launched in October 2006, offering on-demand access to a number of broadcasters, and the company has plans to launch more VoD channels in the film, sport and lifestyle content genres.
