GCI health restructure
GCI's Healthcare division is launching as a separate agency, a week after it was announced GCI was merging with WPP sister agency Cohn and Wolfe. GCI Health will be headed by MD Paul Keirnan and president Jill Dosik. Clients include Johnson & Johnson and Eli Lilly.

The Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority has announced its latest figures, showing that a large number of complaints about the promotion of prescription medicines came from heath professionals, with 45 per cent of 127 complaints in 2007. Breaches of the code had also dropped from 80 per cent in 2005 to 61 per cent in 2007.
The NHS is improving its comms with patients with the publication of a series of online health guides for people with long-term conditions. The guides have been launched on the national NHS website and doctors have welcomed the move
