LONDON - The BBC has appointed eDigitalResearch to a three-year rolling contract to provide surveys and reports across a variety of its websites, to improve its online customer experience.

Detailed survey feedback will help the BBC to determine usefulness of video-on-demand and usability across its news, sports and programming sites.

This is part of BBC's move to provide a more accessible service to the public in order to engage better with its growing online audience.

The online surveys will run on a quarterly basis across a host of BBC.co.uk sites, including the dedicated programme sites, channel sites as well as the news and sport sites.

The results will be reported to the BBC to be used for a variety of purposes, including editorial decision-making, technical improvements and cross-site promotions

The BBC is overseeing the direction and content of the surveys, with technical support from eDigitalResearch.
