Sony supports Ibiza Rocks festival
LONDON - Sony Ericsson has linked up with RSVP, the commercial alliance between GCap Media, Viacom Brand Solutions and IPC Ignite, to deliver a six-figure campaign to support the Ibiza Rocks 2008 music festival.
RSVP is the headline sponsor of the summer-long gig and Sony Ericsson has worked with NME and Xfm through RSVP to create the promotional campaign.
The campaign runs across the summer until the end of Ibiza Rocks in late September, including bespoke activity across Xfm, Xfm.com, NME, NME.com and NME Mobile. NME will also be hosting Club NME in Ibiza for the first time, running every Thursday night at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

The RSVP campaign will include a series of half-hour Ibiza Rocks shows from Xfm every Saturday night, both from Ibiza and at UK-based events, including exclusive content, interview footage and live tracks from the bands.
A weekly column in NME will review the best gigs and highlight up-coming action, while NME will also run a series of bespoke advertorials to provide a guide to the best of Ibiza and UK events. Dedicated micro-channels will run on both NME.com and Xfm.co.uk. Both brands will also be running a series of interactive competitions to win exclusive holidays at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
Mediaedge:cia's communications director, Richard Amies, developed the deal on behalf of Sony Ericsson with IPC Ignite's sponsorship and brand solutions manager Jonathan Boakes and GCap's sponsorship and promotions manager, Donna McCallum.
