LONDON - Viewers are continuing to lose interest in BBC One's new archaeological drama 'Bonekickers', which was watched by 4.6m viewers this week, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The audience for the second part of 'Bonekickers' last week was 5.2m, while its debut drew 6.8m.

ITV1 has benefited from the loss of interest. It is currently repeating a series of Martin Clunes drama 'Doc Martin', which last week managed 3.3m viewers and this week 3.9m.

Its share of viewing in the Tuesday 9pm-10pm slot is up from 15.1% to 18%, while BBC One's is down from 24.3% to 21.3%.

There was also an increase in the number of people tuning into Channel 4 for 'Gordon Ramsay's F Word' on Channel 4. Including Channel 4+1 figures, its ratings rose from 3.1m to 3.3m and its share from 14.1% to 15.2%.

'CSI' on Five did not fare as well, down from 1.3m to 1.1m and from 5.8% to 5.2%.

BBC Two offered the second of a six-part documentary series 'Jimmy Doherty's Farming Heroes', which began last week with 2.1m viewers and a 10% share. This week it managed 2m viewers and a 9.1% share.

Bonekickers - it's good but not that good. The first episode I thought was great, but then the week in, week out discovery of miraculous and history-changing artefacts is starting to seem a little exaggerated to say the least!!

I agree. Mostly it's about tiny pieces of broken pot, cramp and avoiding tetanus.
