Pfizer loses top lobbyist
Amgen, the UK's biggest biotech company, has poached rival pharma firm Pfizer's top lobbyist as its head of corporate affairs.
Owen Smith is set to join in September, reporting to MD John Kearney. He will oversee the firm's corporate affairs, corporate and internal comms and public affairs activity.
Smith joined Pfizer in 2005 as head of government affairs. A former BBC journalist, he stood as the Labour candidate in the Blaenau Gwent parliamentary by-election in 2006.

He replaces Anna Sorman, who is retiring.
No announcement has been made regarding Smith's replacement at Pfizer.
