The Week: People news - Huggers for BBC Future job
The BBC has appointed Erik Huggers as the director of its Future Media and Technology Division.
Huggers, who joined the BBC last year from Microsoft, is currently group
controller of the division, and will start his new role on 1 August. He
replaces Ashley Highfield, now the chief executive of Kangaroo, the

proposed broadband video-on-demand service from the BBC, ITV and Channel
4.
