Rocket on alert as Butlins calls UK media review
LONDON - Butlins, the UK holiday company famous for its redcoats, is reviewing its £4m media buying account.
The Bourne Leisure-owned holiday brand has already kicked off the process which is being managed by the AAR.
As part of this review, Butlins has confirmed that incumbent agency Rocket will be invited to re-pitch for the business, which, for the first time, will now include online display and press buying previously purchased by an internal team.

Jackie Martin, director of sales and marketing at Butlins, said: "Given the expanded nature of the brief our current agency Rocket will be invited to re-pitch for the business and judged against other agencies in the marketplace"
At present, the review is in its early stages and chemistry meetings are taking place in the next few weeks, before it moves to a formal pitch stage.
Butlins is looking to appoint a new agency in September. The company is also currently reviewing its below-the-line business.
