AOL expands senior team at Platform A

LONDON - AOL has made six senior appointments to its digital ad business, Platform A, formed to combine AOL's numerous ad businesses.

Duncan George is now head of agency sales at Platform A, and will direct relationships with advertising agencies and increase revenue. Previously, George was director of agency sales for AOL and worked as GCap Media commercial director prior to joining AOL.

Sarah Perry has been appointed head of direct client sales for Platform A – she joined recently from her role as commercial director at getmedia.com.

Cameran Harman has been appointed as head of product and property sales at Platform A, with responsibility for product development and driving sales across all properties – he was formerly UK commercial director of Advertising.com.

Louise Green will lead client services and delivery for Platform A - Green spent a year as client services director of buy.at, which was acquired by Platform A this February.

Meanwhile, Oli Whitten, former head of UK publisher services for Advertising.com has been named as head of publisher services for Platform A and Lucy Burton, formerly head of trade marketing for AOL, will lead trade marketing for Platform A in the UK.

Michael Steckler, managing director of Platform A UK, said: This team combines a wealth of knowledge across the different channels of Platform A from brand-building advertising to affiliate marketing.

He added: "They have established relationships with clients, agencies, publishers and affiliates, and share our vision to offer advertisers the best marketing tools and technologies available to help them effectively and efficiently deliver their messages to online audiences in the UK. This is our first step towards rolling out Platform A in the UK."
