BA releases first in Terminal 5 poster campaign
LONDON - BA has released the first in its series of posters which use images taken the previous day to show how smoothly Terminal 5 is now working.
The poster shows passengers happily waiting for their flights in an uncrowded environment.
It carries the headline 'Yesterday at T5, 89% of flights arrived on time.'
The ads, produced by Bartle Bogle Hegarty, will be shot every day at the Terminal 5 building and turned around in a day, with the images shown on posters the following day.

It aims at reassuring travellers that Terminal 5 is running smoothly following its disasterous opening earlier in the year.
This is the first in a two-week series of executions that will run across digital outdoor, poster and print channels.
The agency plans to produce another two-week run of ads in September.

Makes me wonder how many people were not on time. About one in ten - which is still going to be a lot. Should they be bragging?

That's what I thought too. 89% is hardly amazing stats is it? I think the whole campaign is a good idea though, providing they give more positive statistics...

... what's the contingency if T5 has a nightmare of a day? Pull the media? Its a brave strategy.

This got coverage on the BBC 10 o'clock news last night. Stanstead is at almost 95% on-time. Even the rest of Heathrow is at almost 92%. So T5 is worse! Priceless.
