£12m IG Index brief goes to MediaCom
LONDON - IG Group, the spread-betting company, has handed the £12 million global media planning and buying business for its IG Index brand to WPP's MediaCom.
The agency won the account following a pitch against ZenithOptimedia and PHD.
IG began its search for an agency in May this year. The review was led by IG’s marketing director, David Hodge.

IG Group has also begun a review of IG Index’s global advertising account, which is currently handled in-house.
In April of this year, IG Group launched its sports spread-betting offering, IG Sport, as a separate brand.
IG Sport was part of IG Index for more than ten years and accounts for 30 per cent of sports spread betting.
IG Group is also planning a relaunch of IG Index, which operates across Europe, Australia, Singapore and the US, and offers bets on a range of financial markets.
