LONDON - Jade Goody will join the Indian version of 'Big Brother', in an attempt to make amends over last year's racist bullying of fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty.

Goody will fly to Mumbai today and is expected to enter the 'Bigg Boss' house, with 12 Indian personalities on Sunday. Her rival, Shilpa Shetty, who won last year's 'Celebrity Big Brother' will be hosting the show.

Last year's 'Celebrity Big Brother' provoked a record number of complaints with more than 46,000 people complaining to media regulator Ofcom and Channel 4 about racist comments during transmission.

Goody, and other housemates Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara were accused of bullying Shetty and making racist comments about her. Shetty went on to win the show with 63% of the vote, but Goody was branded a racist, with people in India burning effigies of her in the street.

Shetty, at the time, commented about Goody: "People make mistakes, I know for sure that Jade didn't mean to be racist. She's a little aggressive, she may be hot-tempered, but she's not a racist."

It is believed that Goody will receive £100,000 for appearing on the show, and she could be in the house for up to three months.
