Polling Station - Mobile Media

by Media Week, Media Week 16-Sep-08

More than 90% say no, but that's not a bad start for a fledgling service.

There's been a flurry of mobile activity among media owners recently, not least the Mirror and the Telegraph launching new sites. But as we can see from the chart, there's a long way to go before those services enter common usage. However, almost one in 10 (9%) people saying they access newspapers or magazines via their mobile is still a good number for fledgling services, and that figure rises slightly (to 10%) between the 18- to 34-year-old category.

METHODOLOGY: Media Week ran the question: "Do you use your mobile to access newspaper and magazine mobile sites?" across Facebook, targeting UK consumers only, on Wednesday, 10 September - 1,000 people responded.
