LONDON - London's Heart 106.2 has lured actor and comedian Alan Davies to present 'Heart Breakfast' for two weeks in October while regular presenter Jamie Theakston is away on holiday.

The 'Jonathan Creek' and 'Bob and Rose' star has previously hosted three series of 'Alan's Big One' on Radio 1 and co-written his own sitcom 'The Alan Davies Show'. Davies will present alongside Harriet Scott for Heart Breakfast from Monday October 13 at 6am.

Mark Browning, Heart 106.2's programme director, said: "I am delighted to bring Alan to Heart. He is perfect for our brand and is someone we know our listeners have a strong connection with."

Heart 106.2 is the number one station in London, reaching 888,000 listeners every week with recent guests including Keira Knightley, Pierce Brosnan and Ant and Dec.

Davies won the Best Actor Award at the 2001 Monte Carlo TV Festival for his role as Bob in the comedy drama 'Bob and Rose', and recently starred in the film 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging'.
