Virgin Group marketing veteran Ashley Stockwell takes Virgin Media role

LONDON - Virgin Media has appointed Ashley Stockwell to the position of managing director of brand and marketing.

Stockwell has been with the Virgin Group for the past 17 years, starting at Virgin Atlantic, and has worked in several of the group's businesses, including Virgin Cinemas, Virgin Drinks, Virgin Trains and Virgin.com.

He was most recently Virgin Group brand marketing director, responsible for managing the brand worldwide.

Stockwell also held the position of managing director of brand at ntl:Telewest when it merged with Virgin Mobile in July 2006 and helped lead the rebrand and transformation of the merged entity into Virgin Media.
