Nokia focuses on flagship N96 launch
LONDON - Nokia is making a concerted push for its new flagship mobile handset, the N96, with TV and online work comprising the majority of the activity.
Launching today, the campaign, through Lowe London, has been dubbed 'Connected Fusion'. It will focus on the device's five-megapixel camera, gaming and video facilities.
Nokia UK marketing director Will Harris said: ‘We are trying not to do a bit of marketing everywhere; instead, we will have a large TV and online presence.'

He added that the campaign was ‘in the same genre as the rest of the Nseries stuff - dark, moody and potent'.
The handset launches with a mobile TV channel called Capsule 96, broadcasting 96 seconds of the latest trends in motoring, fashion, gadgets, comedy, culture and homes with celebrity names such as Fifth Gear presenter Jonny Smith.
Users of the Nokia N96 are also able to run the BBC's iPlayer through an embedded application which allows them to download BBC content for a week.
The latest in the Nseries range offers live TV, 16GB of internal memory, N-Gage gaming and a 2.8in display. The Nokia N96 can also store up to 40 hours of video content transferred from a PC and has voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation for walking or driving.
