Goodstuff and M2M scoop ATOC account

Ian Darby, Campaign 09-Oct-08, 08:00

LONDON - The Association of Train Operating Companies has appointed the media agencies Goodstuff Communications and M2M to handle planning and buying as it gears up for a major campaign to encourage greater levels of train travel across the South-East.

ATOC is also set to confirm WCRS as the creative agency on the business, following a final head-to-head pitch against Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R.

Media planning and buying was previously handled by Equinox Communications.

The independent communications planning agency Goodstuff will now co-ordinate planning, while the OMD Group agency M2M will be responsible for buying.

ATOC, which represents the major train operators including Virgin Trains and National Express, kicked off the pitch process for creative and media ahead of recent changes to rail fares that will see a simplification of the national rail system involving just two categories of tickets.
