NSPCC will close Derbyshire office
The NSPCC is cutting back services and making redundancies because of the economic slowdown.
The children's charity is reviewing all its activities to maintain a "solid financial position". The implications of the review will be decided by trustees in November, but at least six redundancies have already been agreed.

"We are taking sensible precautions now to ensure we operate effectively," said Dame Mary Marsh, outgoing chief executive of the NSPCC.
"Hopefully we will be able to maintain next year's budget, but we will have to streamline services, which will result in redundancies."
The six redundancies will come because of the closure of a child protection team office in Ripley, Derbyshire, at the end of the year.
The NSPCC said, however, that it expects to increase spending on charitable activities in 2008/09.
