The DMS appeal, due to roll out in November, aims to encourage affluent donors with a close connection to the armed forces to upgrade their current cash donations to a regular monthly gift.
Liz Graham, direct marketing manager at SSAFA, said: "We appointed DMS because of its profound knowledge and success in the charity sector. We also believe DMS understands why the appeal is important to raise funds for the servicemen and women that are serving and have served our country and need our support."
DMS, which specialises in charity marketing and the baby boomer audience, has a client list including Oxfam, Cats Protection, RSPB, Cafod and The National Trust, and is part of The Direct Marketing Group.
