IPC Ignite makes two digital appointments

LONDON - IPC Ignite has strengthened its digital sales team with the appointment of Kate Wyn Jones as digital business development executive and Jenny Hanlon as digital senior sales executive.

Wyn Jones joined IPC Ignite in April last year, overseeing all commercial integration and ad-serving functions, prior to which she was account manager at PR agency Propeller Communications.

In her new role she will focus on developing new revenue streams and commercial opportunities beyond traditional media agencies - with a specific remit to co-ordinate viral game seeding and the licensing of flash games.

Wyn Jones, said: "Ignite's digital success speaks for itself. To be given the chance to help develop new revenues across the portfolio is a fantastic opportunity and not to be missed. The potential for flash games and viral seeding is particularly exciting."

Hanlon joins the Ignite digital sales team from IPC Connect and brings with her five years' digital sales experience. Prior to IPC she worked across the outdoor, gardening and parenting websites of specialist digital publisher, Magicalia.

The appointments follow on the heels of strong results for IPC Ignite in the latest ABCe's for June 2008, which revealed major growth in unique users for all three brands: nuts.co.uk delivered a 121% year-on-year increase to 1,398,243 unique users; nme.com unveiled a 107% year-on-year increase to 3,501,326 unique users; and loaded.co.uk delivered a 51% increase year-on-year to 311,610 unique users.

June also saw IPC Ignite acquire online gaming site mousebreaker.com, which reaches four million unique users every month.
