GroupM appoints Grainger to top EMEA role
LONDON - Dominic Grainger has been promoted to chief executive of GroupM EMEA, replacing Kelly Clark, who became the first global chief executive of Maxus earlier this week.
GroupM is not looking to hire another managing director in the region, with duties being assumed between new chief operating officer Rupert Day and Grainger, both based in London.
Irwin Gotlieb, global chief executive of GroupM, said: "Dominic's promotion is well deserved. His strong operating experience and his deep understanding of the European business will ensure that our momentum continues."

The move follows Clark's appointed to the role of global chief executive at Maxus, WPP's fourth-string agency network, on Monday (20 October).
Grainger has served as GroupM EMEA managing director for the past three years and prior to that was chief executive of Mediaedge:cia EMEA between April 2002 and December 2005.
He began his media career in 1987 at Price Waterhouse, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions.
