'Friends only' social network site launches
AMSTERDAM - Clubbyclub, a bespoke social networking site billed as a place for friends to share photos and videos in private without the prying eyes of the "ex, boss or mother-in-law" has gone live.
The site works by not allowing users to search for other members or groups, with access only granted with a secret username and password, meant to protect the privacy of its members.

Makers of the site claim that only 7% of Facebook and MySpace users take advantage of the 'private profile' service even though some companies screen potential candidates on these sites.
The site differs from other 'invite-only' social networks by allowing users to create any type of club to suit their needs, and invite members who are "real friends".
