LONDON - Struggling Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs is looking for a sponsor for its proposed 60,000-seat new stadium, which is to be built in North London after a fruitless search for a new home elsewhere.

The White Hart Lane club, which is currently languishing at the bottom of the table after a disastrous start to the season, is hoping to find a brand to put its name to the state-of-the-art plan.

The first public exhibition of the stadium plans will be held on November 14 and club bosses are open-minded about where its eventual name will come from.

Paul Barber, executive director at Spurs, said: "With the Premiership's global reach, our stadium naming rights partner could come from anywhere in the world. This will further help to grow our club's reputation and expand our fan base internationally."

Spurs is set to begin a period of public consultation and exhibitions before submitting the stadium plans to the London Borough of Haringey Council, which covers the N17 Totteham area.
