LONDON - Telegraph Media Group has poached News International's Kieron Dodd for the new role of head of travel advertising.

Dodd will report to Alex Foster, classified sales director at TMG, and will be responsible for travel advertising across all of the company’s properties, including The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.

In his previous role at News International, Dodd was group business manager for Times Media. He most recently worked on the launch of The Times’ luxury magazine Luxx and was responsible for the international and commercial features cross-platform teams.

As TMG continues to put more emphasis in its online ventures, linking travel assets across the three properties will be a key part of Dodd’s role.

Dodd is the second News International exec to join TMG this month, following Mike Allen’s appointment as development agency manager in early October
