LONDON - M&C Saatchi has won the £2 million creative account for South West Trains.

The agency picked up the business following a pitch against Dye Holloway Murray, SOUK and Designate.

It will now be briefed with developing on-station and in-train activity, above-the-line work and on- and offline direct marketing campaigns.

Lucy Thornton, the head of marketing at South West Trains, said: "We are confident that M&C's campaign will meet all our objectives."

Moray MacLennan, the chairman of M&C Saatchi, said: "We're chuffed."

In May this year the company appointed PHD Rocket to handle its media planning and buying account.

South West Trains is owned by Stagecoach Group, which will run the region's franchise up until 2017.

The South West Trains network covers an area to the South West of London, taking in 13 counties, with its main terminus at London Waterloo, with 185 million passenger journeys a year.
