Apparitions debuts on BBC One with 4.6m viewers

LONDON - BBC One's new supernatural drama 'Apparitions' won the 9pm slot last night with 4.6m viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The first episode of a six-part series, which stars Martin Shaw as a vicar, captured a 20.5% share of the audience between 9pm and 10pm.

ITV1's real-life police documentary series 'Cops with Cameras' netted 3.5m viewers and a 15.5% share of the audience in the same slot.

A new series of Channel 4's cookery conceit 'Celebrity Come Dine with Me', which kicked off with former model Caprice, launched with 3.6m viewers and a 15.8% share of the audience at 8-9pm, including viewers on Channel 4+1.

It was followed by 'Rich Kid Poor Kid', a documentary set in south London that introduces two young girls who live in neighbouring streets but have sharply contrasting backgrounds.

It netted 3m viewers and a 13.1% share of the audience between 9pm and 10pm, including figures from Channel 4+1.

BBC Two's pop quiz 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' was watched by 2.3m viewers and took a 10.2% share of the audience between 9pm and 9.30pm.

The third episode of Five's 'Danger Men', a six-part series which examines the most dangerous jobs in the world, earned 1.3m viewers and a 5.6% share of the audience at 9-10pm with a look at the Red Arrows.
